David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A spokesman for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about questionable actions directed at women.
The firm has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, adding: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold more than 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, which features a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
